At Moneyvart House we aim to create a home away from home. Set back from the road in extensive grounds, the property provides the perfect place to get away from it all. Built in 1865, the house has been recently refurbished and provides all the facilities you'll need to have the perfect holiday.

Take a Walk

Moneyvart House is ideally situated for walkers. Nestled just 1km outside of the picturesque village of Cushendall in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the house is a perfect base for long or short walks in the Glens of Antrim. Whether it's a gentle hike along quiet roads or a more challenging hike up one of the local hills, it can all be reached from the house.

For the hobby or more serious cyclist, there's plenty to explore from the house. Quiet roads provide easy access to gentle cycles along the coast or inland as well as plenty of challenging climbs up Glenarriff or the corkscrew to Ballycastle. You can re-trace the route of the Giro D'Italia.

Moneyvart House is situated just outside Cushendall in the heart of the Glens of Antrim. The area is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in recognition of the unique blend of rugged basalt glens, chalk escarpments and the wild Sea of Moyle. Whether it's the resident red squirrels, the hovering buzzards or even the reclusive Irish hare, you can see it all at Moneyvart.
FACILITIES
Moneyvart House really is a home from home. From the modern kitchen facilities to the multi-fuel stove, everything you need is to hand. We've a full laundry room with washing machine and tumble dyer. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven/grill and four ring induction hob, Nespresso coffee maker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave.
As travellers we understand the frustration of having to bring your own basic ingredients. That's why we also ensure the cupboards are stocked with the essentials from seasonings to sugar.

We appreciate that while you might want to get away from the rush of modern life, you'll also need to stay in touch. We provide free wifi and and digital TV for those who want to remain connected. Whether it's BBC IPlayer, Netflix or Amazon, you can access your own subscription services using our Amazon Firestick.

For those who really want to escape, we provide an extensive library of fiction and non-fiction and a dedicated reading chair, overlooking Redbay and Garron Point..
​
We provide a bath towel for each guest and a hand towel in each bathroom. All linen is provided.
​
If the weather allows, you can chill out in the back garden under the garland lights, keeping warm in front of the log burner. Inside or out, you've plenty of choice.
